Fourth Duck naturally has an affinity for birds. This table, an homage to our feathered friends, is designed as a nest with five maple "eggs" and a scene of a hummingbird as the tabletop. The pedestal is cherry-stained poplar encircling a column of feathers bonded on acrylic that glows from an LED par lamp.
The base is assembled poplar trim on birch ply with a whimsical egg (maple) on the edge. Designed to be a sturdy piece with mortise and tenon joinery used throughout. Like all nests, no two are identical.
